As I sit here writing this month’s newsletter, it’s a warmer-than-usual “winter” day; the sky is blue and the trees are already blooming. It seems rather serendipitous as I look out at this gorgeous scene to be writing about Earth Month.

Earth Month is a really big deal for all of us at AVEDA. Over the past decade, AVEDA has raised more than $38 million to protect water on a global scale. The amazing Earth Month efforts are not just international but on a local level as well.

Did you know the world’s largest grove of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies thrive right here in our backyard in the Catawba River Basin? I love spending time on the water with my family, so protecting the water that we love (and drink) is something near and dear to my own heart.

Last year, Ivy Salons raised more than $2,000 for the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation. This year, we will again focus our efforts on our local waters during the month of April. I invite you to check out this month’s salon special for more details on three ways to give!

Cheers,
